Eagle Cove
This beach is a San Juan Island locals favorite. A perfect place to take the whole family because of the protective shape of the cove, minimal waves, sandy beach and friendly faces who frequent here, you can bring a picnic and spend the whole day. Eagle Cove also makes for one of our top 10 places to have a picnic in the San Juan Islands list.
This beach is located on the southern side of San Juan Island near American Camp. This beach is found off of Cattle Point Road. Eagle Cove is a popular spot for wake boarding and swimming in the water if you don't mind the cold temperature (around 50 degrees).

The beach is very flat and is safe for children to swim at. Parking is available at the top of the hill and there is a short 100 yard walk down to the cove.
